Privacy Policy

Effective date: February 21, 2026 · Last updated: February 21, 2026

Our commitment

Bloom is built privacy-first. We believe your intimate life is yours alone. We collect no personal data, store nothing on our servers, and will never sell, share, or monetize your information.

Information we collect

Short answer: almost nothing. Bloom does not require an account, email address, name, or any personal information to use. We do not collect device identifiers, IP addresses, or usage analytics.

All data you create within Bloom — your preferences, responses, matches, shared content, and comfort level settings — is stored exclusively on your device using encrypted on-device storage. This data never reaches our servers.

Pairing & communication

When you pair with your partner, a temporary encrypted relay server facilitates the connection. This relay operates on a zero-knowledge architecture — all data is end-to-end encrypted on your device before transmission, and the relay server cannot decrypt or read any content. Pairing codes are single-use, expire after 15 minutes, and are not stored.

Third-party services

Bloom uses the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:

  • Apple App Store / Google Play Store — for app distribution and in-app purchases. We do not receive or store any payment information; all transactions are handled by Apple or Google.
  • RevenueCat — for managing in-app purchase entitlements. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user ID (not linked to your identity) to track which content packs you have purchased. No personal information is shared.

We do not use any analytics services, advertising SDKs, tracking pixels, or social media integrations. There are no ads in Bloom, and there never will be.

Children and age requirements

Bloom is intended for adults aged 17 and older and is rated accordingly on the App Store and Google Play. Since Bloom does not collect personal information or require accounts, we do not have the ability to verify user ages. We rely on app store age ratings and parental controls to prevent access by minors.

Data deletion

When you unpair or delete the app, all data is permanently removed from your device. Since we store nothing on our servers, there is nothing to delete on our end. You can also unpair at any time from the app's settings, which immediately deletes all shared data.

Your rights (GDPR, CCPA & others)

Because Bloom does not collect or store personal data on our servers, most data-subject rights (access, correction, deletion, portability) are already satisfied by design — your data lives on your device and is fully under your control.

If you are a resident of the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or California, you have the right to request information about what data we hold about you. In Bloom's case, the answer is: none. If you have questions about your rights, contact us at the address below.

Security

We use industry-standard encryption for all on-device storage and end-to-end encryption for partner communication. While no system can guarantee absolute security, our zero-knowledge architecture means that even in the unlikely event of a server breach, no user data could be exposed — because we don't have it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through an in-app notice or by updating the “last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of Bloom after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
